Our Story
The Poster Point is the brainchild of educational publishing veterans Aleks and Debbie, who have worked on everything from Red Nose Day to the national curriculum. As parents and professionals, we have become increasingly frustrated by the lack of inspiring, attractive materials for secondary schools. Huge amounts of time and effort are invested in generating excellent, worthy content. But what is its value if young people don’t engage with it because it’s so poorly presented?
Our mission is to bring new joy to school walls through stylish posters that unite clever content and beautiful design. Our materials are different to anything else on the market for schools. Old-fashioned illustrations are replaced by high-quality photography; ugly fonts by elegant typography; primary colours by classy, contemporary colour palettes…
We make beautiful posters
That’s not to say that Poster Point posters favour style over substance.
Our subject posters focus on our particular areas of expertise: English, art and design, design and technology, geography and PE. Content is based on years of experience and has been produced with support from teachers and students.
We love to give you freebies
Most of our posters come with free teaching resources – supporting information for students, ideas for using the materials in the classroom, or a mini-PDF version of the poster to share with students.
